When a pause is the right move
Short rules you can set before the next tab opens.
Play stays play while it has a frame. The frame is easier to set before a session: an amount, a time, a reason to leave. After a run of losses the frame feels “silly”. That is when it is doing its job.
A limit before you start
Decide a daily or weekly amount in advance. When the limit is gone, the session is gone. “A little more, because it almost worked” is another conversation, not a plan.
A pause
A pause for a night or a week does not prove weakness. It takes the decision out of a hot minute. If a product has a pause button, press it before a top-up becomes a reflex.
When it is time to leave
If you hide play, borrow money, or lose sleep over a stake, this is not “a bad day”. Close the tab and talk to someone you trust. The Wilder information site has no cashier, and that is fine: text first, then a decision.
